Because of the high number of COVID cases in our area, we have made the difficult decision to close the Project Linus workshop effective Tuesday, December 1, and it will remain closed until at least Tuesday, January 19. At that time we will make a decision about reopening and about days and times of operation going forward. We will have the workshop open next week on Tuesday, November 24, and Wednesday November 25, from 1:00 until 3:00 each day. Please feel free to drop in either day if you would like to drop off completed blankets, drop off donations, or pick up supplies to continue making blankets during the time we are closed. In the interest of everyone’s safety, we ask that everyone wear masks if you come to the workshop next week.
During the time that the workshop is closed, there are a couple of volunteers plus the Coordinator willing to help fill blanket orders if any are received. They will also be available to meet individuals at the workshop for drop offs or to pick up supplies, but this will be by appointment only. Please contact Joyce Pickett, Coordinator, by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone (260-486-2010) if you would like to make an appointment to come to the workshop between December 1 and January 19.
We currently have a large supply of blankets but expect those to be distributed quickly once the COVID crisis is under control, or at least when we are back to some sort of “normal,” so please continue to make blankets as you are able.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
FYI – Recommend blanket sizes have been changed as follows:
Infant – 36″ x 36″ to 38″ x 38″
Toddler – 38″ x 38″ to 45″ x 50″
Elementary – 45″ x 50″ to 50″ x 60″
Pre-Teen & Teen – 50″ x 60″ to 60″ x 72″
