Because of the extended mask mandate as well as the continued presence of the virus in our area,  we will continue to operate the workshop on the revised schedule noted below.  This will continue until further notice.

  • The workshop will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 until 3:00 each day.  Deb Heath and Linda Webster will coordinate activities on Tuesdays, and Melinda Coy and I will do so on Wednesdays.

  • Attendance each day will be limited to a total of 6 people so that we can maintain social distancing.  You must sign up in advance to attend by either emailing me (pickettjm@hotmail.com) or calling me at 260-486-2010.  We will take requests for attendance one week at a time.

  • Face masks will be optional but feel free to wear one if you are more comfortable.

  • This should go without saying but I’m gonna say it anyway:  If you feel ill in any way, or have been around anyone who was ill, please stay home.  Most of us who come to the workshop are at higher risk either because of our age, or because of underlying health conditions, so it is imperative that we be cautious.  If you have signed up to attend but are unable to do so, please let me know as soon as possible as we may have a waiting list of others who would like to attend.

  • We will accept drop offs of completed blankets and other donations during the times we are open.  However, all donations (blankets and otherwise) must be in a closed bag that can be left at the workshop.  Even though the virus apparently does not live very long on fabric, we are going to err on the side of caution.  All drop offs will not be processed or opened for at least 24 hours after they are received.  If you would like to have your bag(s) returned, please put your name and phone number on them and we will let you know when you can retrieve them.  If you come to make a drop off, please do so quickly, say hello and then leave.  We don’t want to be rude or ungrateful but do want to maintain our limited attendance at all times.

  • We will consider returning to our normal schedule once the virus is under better control.  An update will be posted here when that happens.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

FYI – Recommend blanket sizes have been changed as follows:

Infant – 36″ x 36″ to 38″ x 38″

Toddler – 38″ x 38″ to 45″ x 50″

Elementary – 45″ x 50″ to 50″ x 60″

Pre-Teen & Teen – 50″ x 60″ to 60″ x 72″
